  2. I study Classical Asian Medicine in my spare time. Someone close to me, as well as a friend of mine (two people, in two different states, one's almost 4, the other's almost 40), exhibit some behaviors of sensory integration disorder, which can be symptoms of autism.

So when the one who's almost four's mother mentioned SID and I realized I had another friend kind of like that, I looked up an East Asian approach to treating autism.

When I created this blog, it was to post thoughts related to my evolving relationship with Judaism, as well as stuff related to acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and classical Asian medicine (CAM). And apparently I'll be posting stuff about martial arts/ samurai/ judo-related things here, too.

I post regularly on a music-related message board. I like reading the Judaism-related blogs, and I like reading whatever I find on TCM and martial arts. This blog can act as their clubhouse (so to speak, along with anything else I might decide to post).

  3. I haven't had a chance to give it a thorough read, yet. I did a lot of judo, followed by a lot of sleeping, this weekend (hence the insomnia). I start a new class tomorrow night. I hope to give it a read on Tuesday, if I remember.

  4. one thing I don't like about blogs is I (and no one else, either, it seems) can't edit my comments. not with this blog software, anyway.

  5. cool, i've always been interested in autism and work with autistic children. it's quite fascinating to see what some parents believe will "cure" their child.
one parent basically took her son off food only letting him eat veg., eggs, chicken and vitamin supplements i'm not exagerating. she claims it calms him though shes the only one who sees it. so sad

what music message board are you talking about?
(i'm somewhat of a music junky)
